How It Works
Resize scales your images to new width and height values (or a percentage) using canvas drawing in the browser. Original files stay on your device while dimensions are recalculated and exported—ideal when you need exact pixel sizes for layouts, social templates, or print without uploading assets to a third party.
How to Use
- Open the Resize tab and upload the images you want to change.
- Enter target width and height in pixels; use the “Lock aspect ratio” checkbox so images scale proportionally within those bounds.
- Click the resize action to process every file and wait for the progress bar.
- Download the resized images individually or as a ZIP for multiple outputs.
Common Use Cases
- Matching banner or avatar dimensions required by a platform.
- Creating thumbnails from high-resolution camera or phone photos.
- Preparing images for slide decks or PDFs without overflowing the frame.
- Generating consistent sizes for a gallery or e-commerce grid.
FAQ
- Does resizing make images blurry?
- Shrinking an image often looks sharp because pixels are downsampled. Enlarging a small image spreads existing pixels and usually looks soft or blocky—start from the largest source you have when you need big output.
- Will aspect ratio be preserved?
- If you set both width and height independently, the image may stretch. Use proportional presets or lock aspect ratio in the tool when you want to avoid distortion.
- Are my images uploaded when I resize?
- Resizing is performed locally in your browser. Files are not transmitted to our servers for the resize operation itself.
